For Immediate Release: Sept. 1, 2019
From farming sustainability to climate change to personal health to food nutrition, soil health affects almost every aspects of our world. That’s why more than 1,000 farmers, ranchers, foodies, gardeners and nutrionists will participate in conversations about soil fertility and regenerative agricultural strategies at the 2019 Eco-Ag Conference & Trade Show, Dec. 9-12, 2019, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Brought to you by Acres U.S.A., the voice for eco-agriculture for more than 40 years, this event will feature approaches and tools for ecological and regenerative farming at all scales.
Over the past decades, intensive agricultural practices have degraded cropland causing a decline in the quality of food this land produces. While in many regions increasing inputs and technologies have helped maintain farmland productivity, soil health has suffered. There is an alternative to this outcome that lies in ecological agricultural practices – these will be the focus of the Eco-Ag Conference & Trade Show.
Dozens of soil, ecology and agriculture experts, including Dr. Don Huber, Mark Shepard, Dr. Paul Dettloff, Noel Garcia, Doug Fine, John Kempf, Neal Kinsey, Dr. Nasha Winters, Meagan Keiser, Reginaldo Haslett-Marroquin, Edwin Blosser, Paul Dorrance, Gary Zimmer, Rodale Institute and more!
In-depth Eco-Ag U All-Day Workshops, Dec. 9-10, include classes about:
- Mineral Nutrition & Plant Disease;
- Water Managemnt Strategies;
- How to Raise Animals Organically;
- Regenerative Ag Systems;
- Foundations of Soil Health;
- Non-Chemical Weed Control; and
- Human Health.
Sessions will be followed by small group Q&A sessions where attendees will have access to some of the top minds in agriculture to address real-life on-farm challenges.
Conference sessions scheduled for Dec. 10-12 feature many of the same instructors, with more focused lessons on soil health, human health and plant systems.
Along with top-notch content, the conference will include film screenings, round table discussions, booksignings, films releases, networking hours, a bookstore packed with learning tools to take home, and an industry-leading trade show of more than 100 eco-ag input providers.
